The u-16s beat Rasharkin last night down in Rasharkin by 0-9 to 2-13. It was a hard hitting match and some nice football was played. This results should all but assure the boys a semi final place.

Reply : I had the pleasure of watching this match and I was very impressed with the team. They were generally much smaller than the opposition but they were much more skilful and accurate. Well done to all concerned.

A big thank you to all who participated and also those who helped with today's sponsored walk in Glenariff.
A great days fun for all who travelled made even better by the good weather.
We have raised over £600 and that will be used solely for equipment for our juvenile members such as helmets that are now mandatory for all involved in Hurling or Camogie.
A full report and photos will be posted on the website soon.
Thanks again.

Dear Clubs,

After the tragic passing of Shaun Paul O'Hagan in 2007 who represented both Con Magees Glenravel and Antrim it was decided by his family and friends to set up a trust in his name. The trust was formed in early November 2008 with the aim to raise money for survivors of road traffic accidents who may need medical care/equipment.

Various fund raising events have taken place since and full details of the trust and events can be seen on the website www.spohcharitabletrust.co.uk

We have decided to undertake our most ambitious fund raising effort yet and will be hosting a gala dinner in the Tullyglass house Ballymena on Friday 8th October 2010. The night will involve a meal/music/raffle/auction and promises to be a great night for a great cause.

If anyone from your club or area would be interested in attending a table of 10 will cost £400 or £40/head. We would really appreciate your support but also fully appreciate that times are tough at present if unable to attend.

The trust can be contacted via email at ferghig@live.co.uk. and pjob81@hotmail.co.uk

Thanks and look forward to hearing from you.

Fergal Higgins and PJ O'Boyle
The Spoh Charitable Trust
